Parking By-Law

In the event that parking spaces are made available by the University for the College, the Vice Presidents shall fairly distribute those spaces to eligible Members by means of a Parking Jack.

Eligibility to Participate in Parking Jack

1. Only members member must reside on campus to be eligible for a sticker in the college lot.

2. Only students providing proof of vehicle ownership may be eligible to participate in Parking Jack. (Vehicle ownership means personal ownership of a vehicle by the individual or by a relative or legal guardian of the individual.)

Distribution of Parking Spaces

1. One parking space each shall first be reserved for the President, the College Coordinator, and each of the Resident Associates.

2. The remaining parking spaces shall be allotted at a Parking Jack, which shall be held no sooner than the last Room Jack and no later than the last day of classes.

   a. At Parking Jack, available parking spaces shall first be distributed to students declaring Senior status and who have not participated in a prior Parking Jack. A lottery shall be conducted by cut of the cards to determine the preferential order by which parking spaces are distributed.

   b. If additional spaces remain unallotted after the first round of the lottery, they shall be likewise distributed by lottery to remaining eligible Members.

3. Once allotted, parking spaces may be relinquished for redistribution but may not be transferred or traded.

4. The Vice Presidents shall establish and thoroughly publicize any additional rules and procedures necessary for the Parking Jack, and the authority of the Vice Presidents in the application of such rules and procedures is binding and final.
