Overview

The world is a pretty large place, so there’s no end to how much you can expand your horizons. The Culturals strive to facilitate that by putting together international movie nights, subsidizing visits to a different ethnic restaurant every month, and sponsoring trips and other fun events. Who doesn’t love diversity, right? New ideas are always welcome, and becoming involved in the committee involves contributing however you are willing and able to.

And the August/September Restaurant of the Month is… SHIVA!!! This restaurant serves traditional (and delicious) Indian fare and is conveniently located in Rice Village.

We have yet to determine a date for our “official” outing, but the protocol is simple: if you go to Shiva, put your receipt (with name legibly written on the back) in the Culturals envelope in Joyce’s office, and we’ll refund you $5.00. To avoid confusion, the subsidy is good for one visit.
