Picture this: it’s your freshman year, and you’re a premed. You’ve signed up for Bio, Calc, Chem, and Physics, and you’re feeling pretty good, but then the first wave of tests comes along, and you realize that maybe you didn’t totally understand what Isaac Newton meant about the whole gravity thing. Or maybe you’re in an English class, and even though your high school English teacher thought every word you penned was genius, your new professors have taken their red pens to your paper with such vengeance that if you put your ear right up to the paper you can hear it cry.

Not to fear: we have ALL been there, and your Will Rice Academic Fellows are here to help! Academic fellows are juniors and seniors who love Will Rice and offer totally FREE tutoring, test review sessions, paper editing, and more. Your friendly fellows are assigned to certain big classes like Math 101, Gen Chem and Physics (to name a few) and to general subject areas like history and chemical engineering. If a big test is going to happen in a class, we know about it and put on a study session. If you need some homework help or someone to read over one of your papers, we’re here to help.

Just shoot an email at Head Fellows, Stephanie Matherne (stephanie@) and Elyse Landry (evl1@), and we’ll make sure that we hook you up with someone who can help you out. Fellows also hold 2 Office Hours a week where they sit in the commons, desperately hoping that someone will come ask them for help. The fellows love to help, and we love to keep up Will Rice’s reputation for having the highest GPA of all the colleges! To sum it up: email us, check out the fellows bulletin board that has our pictures, course assignments, and office hours, and don’t be afraid to ask for help!

Stephanie, stephanie@ and Elyse, evl1@

Be sure to check back here by August 1, fellows will have the courses they’re responsible for posted!
